The Ho office of the Domestic Tax Revenue Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority has embarked on a tax campaign across the principal streets of the municipality to sensitise the public to the need to pay taxes.
It forms part of GRA’s national tax campaign to ensure Ghanaians pay taxes voluntarily for effective revenue mobilization.
The Manager of Tax Office, Peter Darrah said they are bent on organizing such campaigns to ensure voluntary tax compliance in the Ho municipality.
Mr Darrah hinted that though many people in the Municipality voluntarily honour their tax obligations, there are few who evade taxes which is a major challenge.
He therefore urged them to comply with their tax obligations voluntarily to enable the Authority to generate sufficient revenue for accelerated national development.
